Currently, there are four areas that are operational on the UD E-World Site:

• The Built Environment area is a combination of online surveys and a message board that supports a research project on the priorities and effectiveness of universal design in the built environment.
• The Evidence Based Guidelines area will use wikis and online surveys to produce consensus guidelines for universal design.
• The Public Message Boards are open and available to subscribers to participate in threaded discussions. We initiated the boards by converting two existing computer discussion lists administered by the IDEA Center, the Home Modifications Listserv and the Visitability Listserv to this more flexible format.
• Web resources are links to existing IDEA Center websites with useful information on universal design as well as links to other resource sites. The linked sites include the main IDEA Center site, the quarterly IDEA Center E-Newsletter and the Universal Design Education Online website.
